On the 2nd December in London, the winners of the first Internet of Things Awards, the IoTAs, were named in front of more than 150 participants at the Total Telecom Festival.
Seventeen individual companies had made the shortlist for the nine categories to be awarded, but in the end eight companies took the trophies home. IoT veterans Jasper led the field taking two awards away.

Most Innovative Device Solution - LeddarTech
Most Innovative Platform Solution - Xively by LogMeIn
Project of the Year - Jasper
Most Innovative Use of Data - Blue Yonder
The Smart Cities Initiative - AT&T Smart Grid Solutions
Transforming Business - built.io by Raw Engineering
Best Turnkey Solution - ThingWorx
Contribution to the IoT Eco-System - Jasper
Judging for the awards was conducted by Chris Lewis - Lewis Insight, Fran O'Brien - oneM2M, Jim Morrish - Machina Research, Robin Mersh - Broadband Forum, and Steve Hilton - MachNation.
Rob Chambers, Managing Director of Total Telecom said "out aim had been to establish awards for the internet of things / everything space that would have the same credability as our market leading World Communication Awards. Thanks to strong entries and outstanding judges I think we are well on our way"
