Analyst firm expects shipments of non-iOS tablets to grow by 134% next year as rival OS makers up their game.

Shipments of non-Apple tablets such as those powered by the latest versions of Android and Windows will grow by 134% on-year in 2012, predicted Nomura on Thursday, which also claimed that PC makers are better positioned than smartphone players to benefit from the expected growth. The company also said it expects the tablet market to be worth $74 billion by 2014…
