Apple's net jumps 90% as iPhone sales surge

Apple Inc.'s quarterly profit surged 90%, leaving little doubt that consumers are opening their wallets to buy the hottest tech gadgets as the economy improves. Apple's revenue in the quarter rose 49% to $13.5 billion, as consumers snatched up its iPhones, iPods and Macintosh computers.
