Lumen mulls $5bn sale of consumer biz to Apollo Global Management

Sources suggest Lumen Technologies, formerly known as CenturyLink, is considering selling its consumer operations in a number of US states

According to reports from Bloomberg, Apollo Global Management is in discussions to acquire a selection of consumer business assets from Lumen Technologies in a transaction that could be worth around $5 billion. The target assets are, according to sources, situated in a number of US states, with a deal potentially set to be announced in the coming weeks. This rumour, if proved true, would not come as too much of a surprise…
