Fujikura’s Innovative Wrapping Tube Cable Utilized for FTTH Fiber Deployment in Israel
Fujikura Ltd is pleased to announce that Partner Communications Ltd have selected its ground-breaking SpiderWeb Ribbon® (SWR®) Wrapping Tube CableTM (WTCTM) as a key product to assist in the rapid deployment of their full FTTH network in Israel.

Utilizing WTC in conjunction with the Fujikura 90R Mass Fusion Splicer to simultaneously splice 12 fibres significantly reduces cable installation time for the deployment of Partner’s FTTH network.

The use of SWR technology within the WTC structure allows installation teams to joint 12 fibres at the same time, resulting in a reduction of up to 80% in the installation time compared with traditional cables that require fibres to be spliced individually.

Yonatan Sudmi, Director of Fiber Infrastructure Division in Partner Communications Ltd, commented “We have been impressed with the ease, performance, and speed at which we can install WTC. Partner has high expectations from our suppliers just as our customers have high expectations from us.

We require solutions that allow us to reduce cost and time but never compromise on the quality of service to our customers.”

SWR WTC was selected by Partner following a successful deployment in central Tel Aviv, which was the first use of WTC in the Israeli market and was supported by Fujikura’s local representative, Fibernet.
