DUBLIN, Ireland – June 26 2019 – Openet today announced the appointment of Per Borgklint, who has joined Openet’s Board of Directors. A telecoms industry veteran, Per has held a number of positions at several telecommunications and media companies, including Canal+, Tele2, and Versatel.

Most recently, Per was SVP Head of BU Support Solutions, Chief Innovation Officer and President of Ericsson Silicon Valley. Per will work closely with Openet’s existing board members and management team, as the company continues on its disruptive mission to transform the digital BSS industry.

“We’re excited to welcome Per onto our board. He is an established and experienced telecommunications professional who will bring great value to our board and management team,” said Niall Norton, CEO, Openet. “We are more committed than ever before to helping service providers on their transformational journey towards becoming digital service providers. That’s why it’s invaluable to have respected, experienced industry veterans, such as Per, who brings a compelling dual perspective, having served operator and vendor side. Per completely understands the critical and disruptive role of digital BSS in helping operators effectively monetise 5G.”

“I am delighted and feel privileged to have been invited to join the Openet board of executives,” said Per Borgklint, Openet board member. “Openet has had great successes in recent years in demonstrating the value of agile, flexible digital BSS in service providers’ transformation journeys. I’m excited to be helping the Openet team in continuing this success and drive innovation and change in an industry so restricted by legacy systems and outdated ways of working.”

Per also currently serves as board member for ITAB Group and Vionlabs AB. Per holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Finance from the International University of Monaco, as well as a Masters of Science in Economics & International Marketing, from Jonkoping University in Sweden.
