In 2017, NFON AG, a leading global provider of modern telephone systems from the cloud, is once again more successful than ever: numerous partnerships, product launches such as NFON SIP Trunk, the opening of capital city offices in Berlin, the market entry in Portugal and the introduction of the NFON Partnerboard has led to the most successful business year - the record year since the company was founded a decade ago. “We can look back with pride on the past year and the achievements of the NFON team”, said Hans Szymanski, Chief Executive Officer of NFON AG.
In March, NFON AG sealed its important partnership with T-Systems: By pooling the know-how of both companies, a partnership was formed that enables T-Systems to offer a new service, thanks to NFON, which meets the high demands of large companies via unified communications. “The services provided by T-Systems and NFON AG complement each other excellently, and we maintain a partnership on an equal footing”, says Hans Szymanski. Wholesale was another big topic in 2017: A cooperation agreement was signed with Pironet AG, one of the leading German providers of full managed services in the cloud computing market, and in August, a wholesale partnership was announced to extend the existing partnership between NFON AG and acmeo GmbH.
In addition to strong partnerships, one of the core elements of NFON AG's growth strategy is a Europe-wide expansion, which also ensures the corresponding scalability. This strategy was recognised in April 2017 by the Financial Times and NFON AG's inclusion in the ‘FT1000’ list. The Growth Excellence Leadership Award, which Frost & Sullivan awarded to NFON AG, followed in May 2017. With above-average growth rates based on a combination of growth diversification, an outstanding price-performance ratio and a convincing experience in terms of customer needs and user behavior, NFON AG established itself in the European market for IP telephony and UCaaS. Hans Szymanski: "These awards reflect our excellent reputation on the European market."
The internationalisation and continuation of the growth strategy will continue to play a central role at NFON AG in 2018. Another milestone that’s scheduled this coming summer: the new NFON. The current FMC client, Softphone, Ncontrol and others will be replaced. In addition, NFON AG will again significantly expand its headquarters in Munich. “Furthermore, NFON plans to increase its workforce by 25 percent by the end of 2018”, adds Hans Szymanski. “Thanks to the best business communication service available on the market, each and every one of our employees will continue the success story of NFON AG in Europe.”
