iPass has announced a partnership with Voyaxes Inc., the leading provider of mobile connectivity for traveling consumers. Under the terms of this alliance, Voyaxes will expand the network coverage of its Voyager WiFi service, by utilizing the iPass SmartConnect SDK to provide its customers with access to the iPass global network, with the world’s largest and growing Wi-Fi footprint.

The Voyager WiFi service provides fast, secure and easy-to-use internet access for travelers all around the world. Set to deploy in Q4 2016, the strategic partnership incorporates iPass global Wi-Fi connectivity across more than 120 countries into the Voyager Wi-Fi offering, giving customers simple, secure, always-on Wi-Fi, wherever they are.

“Secure, convenient and affordable internet connectivity is extremely important for international travelers, especially given the likelihood of high cellular roaming fees,” said Patricia Hume, chief commercial officer of iPass. “For those travelers, our partnership with Voyaxes will ensure instant access to global Wi-Fi in airports, hotels, airplanes and many other locations and destinations, when they need it.”

“We are excited to roll out the iPass global Wi-Fi service to our Voyager Wi-Fi customers, because it will give them flexible access to high-quality internet connectivity at affordable rates, thereby deepening our promise of value,” said Kari Kailamäki, CEO of Voyaxes. “In addition to benefiting our customers, the partnership with iPass also saves us time, money and effort, which would otherwise be expended negotiating deals and integrating our service separately with hundreds of different network providers. Instead, iPass gives our customers instant access to more 160 of the world’s biggest and best networks.”
