Tecore Networks, a pioneer supplier of innovative mobile network infrastructure, today announced that its Mobility Virtualized Platform (MVP) has been selected by Blue Arcus Technologies for deployment in the Marshall Islands. Tecore’s MVP was selected based on its scalability and capabilities of the LTE Core Network upon the completion of an intensive evaluation. In addition, the platform includes the Mobility Management Entity (MME), Serving Gateway (SGW), Packet Data Network Gateway (PGW), Home Subscriber Server (HSS), Voice over LTE and Circuit Switched Fallback to the existing GSM network.
The new LTE network will greatly improve telecommunications in a region that has long been underserved due to its remote location in the Pacific.
“The unique environment and remote location are a key factor that had to be considered for this project. Tecore’s knowledge, experience and product scalability will be a vital component of our deployment. Overall they were a natural choice, said Naren Yanamadala, President and CEO of Blue Arcus Technologies.
“We look forward to leveraging our expertise and products to facilitate Blue Arcus in the evolution of their network to include LTE. Our continued focus is to advance our products through experience gained in each unique deployment to better service our customers,” said Jay Salkini, Founder and CEO of Tecore Networks. “We are very pleased that our LTE MVP has been chosen by Blue Arcus Technologies, and we are ready to begin this voyage with our new partners and their dedicated team.”
Tecore’s MVP product delivers scalable solutions to operators, which are cost-effective for deploying, extending and evolving their networks. As the baseline of the expansion efforts, Tecore’s ability to be deployed as a standalone or networked system makes it the solution of choice for islands, rural and remote communities. Tecore’s platforms enable local operators to have cost-effective, highly scalable options now and for future expansion. When developing Tecore’s network solutions, the focus was centered on the need for world class features, capabilities and coverage in low population communities while maintaining a cost-effective infrastructure.
