Silver Peak, the global leader in broadband and hybrid WAN solutions, today announced the appointments of four new executive leaders as the company executes its service provider go-to-market strategy. Silver Peak is enabling service providers to address the increasing customer demand for managed SD-WAN services with a complete range of turn-key SD-WAN solutions that can be monetised today and offer extensibility to deliver incremental value in the future.

New leadership appointments include:

• Shayne Stubbs, vice president, global service provider sales
• Nav Chander, senior director, service provider marketing
• Bob Rodio, vice president and chief technologist, service provider
• Maurice Abécassis, director, EMEA service provider sales

The new service provider leadership team will focus on accelerating market penetration and empowering service providers to bring new managed SD-WAN services to market quickly to expand and grow their customer base and identify new revenue streams. Silver Peak SD-WAN solutions enable service chaining for WAN Optimisation, network infrastructure and security products. Service providers can deliver comprehensive and agile SD-WAN solutions to enterprise customers today and seamlessly address future technology deployments.

Silver Peak is actively building partnerships with service providers like Masergy to enable the rapid deployment of managed SD-WAN services and provide geographically distributed enterprise customers with everything they need to build a better WAN. Customers benefit by having skilled help to ease deployments and service level agreements (SLAs) for business critical applications.

Shayne Stubbs, vice president cloud service provider sales
Stubbs is responsible for leading the worldwide service provider sales team to enable cloud service providers to bring enterprise applications into the cloud by addressing the challenges of network flexibility, speed, cost and security. Prior to rejoining Silver Peak, he focused on Service Provider sales at Nicira (acquired by VMware) and served as head of sales for Datera Inc., a scale-out cloud infrastructure a company.

“I am excited to rejoin the Silver Peak executive team to lead our go-to-market motions and deliver comprehensive SD-WAN solutions to service providers that can be deployed and monetised immediately,” said Shayne Stubbs, vice president, cloud service provider sales at Silver Peak. “Service providers are being challenged to keep pace with escalating customer demand for SD-WAN managed services and are actively seeking to partner with best-in-class SD-WAN solution providers like Silver Peak.”

Nav Chander, senior director, service provider marketing
Chander is responsible for leading service provider marketing, positioning Silver Peak as a key enabling channel for service providers to expand managed service offerings, become more customer centric and identify new revenue streams. Prior to joining Silver Peak Chander served as the research manager for enterprise, telecommunications and networking at IDC where he led the US enterprise network services and worldwide networking infrastructure research programme.

Bob Rodio, vice president, chief technologist for service providers
Rodio serves as the technical lead on building the Silver Peak service provider business and is responsible for prospecting new service provider customers, driving pre-sales engagements, spearheading go-to-market partner development, technical lab evaluations, and driving service provider sales-team engagements. Prior to Silver Peak, he served as vice president of business development at Crossfiber. Rodio previously served in various leadership roles at Ciena.
Maurice Abécassis, director, EMEA service provider sales

Abécassis is responsible for leading EMEA service provider sales and expanding the company’s partnerships with regional cloud service providers seeking to expand their service offerings with managed SD-WAN services. Prior to joining Silver Peak, Abécassis served in a range of senior sales assignments for SEMEA, VMware SDDC Networking & Security, Juniper Networks Lucent Technologies, Ascend and Cascade.
