Netgem enhances home entertainment with Gaming Avenue

Netgem, the award-winning end-to-end video entertainment provider and leader in innovative, global #TelcoTV solutions, has today unveiled the Gaming Avenue, a new curated category that enables consumers access to some of the biggest franchises in gaming on their TV, via the cloud. Netgem will launch the GameFly Streaming service within the Gaming Avenue, providing a unique and high quality gaming experience to customers without the need for a video game console system.

Extending the #TelcoTV offering from Connected TV to Connected Entertainment and an integral component of Netgem’s range of content services, the Gaming Avenue represents the first step towards Netgem’s Connected Home ambition, through their expansion into a full suite of content-driven entertainment services for consumers.

In a move to drive accessibility to premium console games, GameFly has been integrated on Netgem Devices. For a low monthly price, consumers can play top rated games including “Tomb Raider Game of the Year”, “Batman: Arkham Origins”, “F.E.A.R. 3, Darksiders” and “Red Faction Armageddon”. Families who prefer casual gaming can also choose a family-friendly bundle from GameFly that includes favourites, such as “Lego Batman 3”, “Pacman Championship Edition” and “WRC4.”The Games Avenue also features gaming services from a range of partners, including Visiware International and Couchplay Games, offering a combined catalogue of over 300 games.

The new music and gaming categories enable telecoms operators to offer their customers a unique and quick-to-market bundling proposition that incorporates TV, Music, and gaming entertainment services alongside existing telecom based internet and mobile packages.

Gaming Avenue will be available to all existing Netgem #TelcoTV customers alongside the recently launched Music Avenue that offers comprehensive music aggregation and multi-room playout within the home. GameFly Streaming is the most advanced Gaming service on the Netgem platform, and will be rolled out within the Gaming Avenue - subject to the appropriate Commercial terms.
