 GENBAND, a leading provider of real-time communications solutions, today announced that Steven Bruny has been named Chief Operating Officer of the company’s Network Transformation business. GENBAND has organized its business into two divisions, Network Transformation and Kandy, based on its award-winning communications platform as a service, to best support and empower its global customer base in today’s rapidly-changing market. Mr. Bruny will oversee Product Line Management, R&D, Operations and Support & Training in his new role.

GENBAND’s Network Transformation Business delivers a comprehensive set of solutions to global operators including fixed, mobile, MSO and interconnect/wholesale providers, enabling them to evolve their legacy networks and transform them to an agile, efficient software-defined infrastructure with high performance Virtual Network Functions (VNF) and management offerings for NFV/SDN. The company’s extensive service provider solutions portfolio includes advanced Interconnects, SIP Trunking, SBC and Analytics solutions designed to best consolidate, modernize and transform service providers’ legacy networks.

Enterprises across verticals including the Federal and Public sectors that leverage GENBAND’s solutions benefit from more productive communications and collaboration capabilities both among their employees and with their customers. Additionally, GENBAND offers an unmatched set of solutions to help these organizations evolve their legacy Nortel PBX installed base, gaining cost efficiencies and extended flexibility while avoiding the traditional rip and replace.

Mr. Bruny joined GENBAND in 2012 with the acquisition of Aztek Networks, where he was CEO. Since then he has served as Senior Vice President, Major Accounts and Executive Vice President, Solutions Delivery and Support, successfully leading the re-engineering and ongoing optimization of these critical customer-facing activities.
