Comcast Business announced a million-dollar expansion of its network into the North Creek Business Park located in the city of Bothell, Washington. With this expansion, more than 250 companies in the communications, transportation and technology industries in the business park now have access to Comcast Business’s comprehensive portfolio of advanced communications services.

Located off of Beardslee Boulevard, the North Creek Business Park is an environment unlike other corporate developments – it’s a lifestyle business park. Patrons can live on-site in apartments while also working in the business park and benefiting from the many activity offerings available including nature paths, parks and shopping venues. Current business park tenants include Fortune 100 companies as well as many locally-owned companies. Comcast Business’s advanced network further supplements these unique differentiators by offering residents and business great Internet performance, clear voice services and Wi-Fi access.

“Having a robust network is essential to recruiting and retaining high-technology companies in the North Creek Business Park,” said Peter Troedsson, assistant city manager of Bothell. “We’re happy that Comcast chose the city of Bothell and that they’re expanding this essential network.”

Matt Fassnacht, vice president of Comcast Business in Washington, added, “The high-end organizations in the North Creek Business Park require cutting-edge technology. This substantial commitment has resulted in the installation of a comprehensive, high-capacity network services that have both the performance to meet today’s needs and the scalability to accommodate future needs.”

Comcast Business serves schools, businesses, hospitals and other organizations that require large amounts of bandwidth. Typically these organizations are looking to link multiple locations or branch locations or plan to connect their offices to a third-party data center. Comcast Business Ethernet services include:

- Ethernet Dedicated Internet – continuous, high-bandwidth connectivity between customers’ LANs and the public Internet.
- Ethernet Network Service – multipoint-to-multipoint connectivity to connect organizations with high-bandwidth requirements and multiple locations across Comcast’s network.
- Ethernet Private Line – point-to-point connectivity between two customer sites for bandwidth-intensive applications.
- Ethernet Virtual Private Line – a point-to-multipoint connection that allows customers to tailor bandwidth, performance characteristics and cost to meet the needs of their applications.

Nationally, Comcast Business’s Ethernet services are delivered over an advanced network that spans 140,000 miles. Bandwidth is available up to 10 Gbps and can be scaled in increments and offered in three different classes of service, backed by strict service level agreements and monitored 24x7x365 from Comcast’s dedicated Network Operations Centers. Comcast was the first service provider in the world to offer Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) CE 2.0 certified Ethernet services and was also the first service provider to achieve all three of the previous CE 1.0 certifications (MEF 9, 14 and 18).
