Patton Electronics—US manufacturer of UC, cloud, and IoT enabling solutions for carrier, enterprise and industrial networks—has executed a revised contract that strengthens its partnership with Kontel as primary distribution partner for SmartNode VoIP CPE products in Poland.

Following recent years of decline and stabilization, the telecom market in Poland is expected to grow 1.3% annually through 2019 according to Audytel.

BMI research corroborates an expanding telecommunications sector within Poland in its latest report on the nation’s economy,

“In this growing market, Telcos need highly reliable VoIP CPE to support their expansion of ALL-IP and hybrid IP-telephony services,” said Marek Wisniewski, Information Systems Manager and co-owner at Kontel.

“SmartNode VoIP products from Patton offer rich feature sets with flexible call-routing and numbering plans,” Mr. Wisniewski continued. “More importantly though, Patton’s US-manufactured equipment is widely recognized in the global market for outstanding quality and reliability.”

“Kontel has always demonstrated the utmost professionalism as a valued distribution channel for Patton solutions in Poland,” said Martin Svozil, Vice President of International Business Development at Patton.

“The new agreement honors that time-tested loyalty by enhancing Kontel’s strategic position so they can better serve the needs of telecom operators in their native land,” Mr. Svozil said.

In related news, Patton recently announced it now offers the BroadSoft PacketSmart Probe built into SmartNode VoIP solutions, promising increased business up-time for subscribers and lower customer-support costs for service providers.

Last month, Patton announced its entry into the SDN/NFV arena. The company is now seeking alpha partners for demos and testing with its virtual SmartNode eSBC.

Incorporated in Maryland since 1984, Patton is a privately-held, family-owned and operated business.
