The Online Trust Alliance, a non-profit consortium of companies, non-profit and governmental agencies dedicated to enhancing online trust, and Cryptosoft, the UK-based leader in policy-driven authentication and encryption services for connected Internet of Things devices, have announced that they will jointly host a free Webinar on January 28, 2016, recognizing the 10th annual Data Protection and Privacy Day.
The purpose of the Webinar, sponsored by Cryptosoft, is to further the aims of Global Privacy Protection Day: to raise awareness of the importance of privacy and data protection issues, and ensure businesses are adopting best practices to maintain the security of private information.
Craig Spiezle, Executive Director & President, of the Online Trust Alliance, and Remco Postma, Vice President of Cryptosoft, will participate in the Webinar. The free event will take place online at 14:00 GMT and participants can register in advance at: http://info.cryptosoft.com/security_webinar-28/1/16
“The Online Trust Alliance was formed in 2006 to developed and advance best practices in privacy and security. Since Online Privacy and Data Protection Day was first observed a decade ago, these issues have become increasingly important,” said Spiezle. “In the Webinar we will discuss how organizations can best protect the privacy of sensitive consumer information, their intellectual property, and ensure the continuing security of their information networks.”
“In the near future, billions of devices will be connected to the Internet, through what has become known as the Internet of Things, said Postma. “Cryptosoft’s mission is to ensure that businesses and consumers can realize the tremendous benefits offered by this next stage in the digital transformation, without compromising the privacy of data or security. We are delighted Craig Spiezle from the Online Trust Alliance will join us to address these issues on this important day.”
