ETI Software Solutions is proud to announce that Bolt Fiber Optic Services has successfully launched its FTTH video, voice and data network supported by ETI’s Overture suite for fiber design and management, provisioning and end-to-end billing for voice (Metaswitch), IPTV (Mediaroom) and data (Alcatel-Lucent) and real-time GIS monitoring of FTTH network alarms.
This greenfield deployment – the largest RUS-funded project to date – will provide the fastest Internet service in the U.S. to 30,000 cooperative members in rural Northeast Oklahoma. Bolt Fiber not only implemented ETI’s Overture B/OSS software platform but has recently selected an additional module, Overture ACS, an integrated TR-069 device management technology that has enormous benefits for both Bolt’s CSR team and its subscribers.
“Overture’s ACS module is tightly integrated to ETI’s Overture B/OSS system,” explained Sheila Allgood, Manager of Bolt. “This means that our CSR staff can quickly troubleshoot issues without the involvement of upper-level engineering personnel; it even offers self-healing functionality that can diagnose and resolve issues before the customer knows there’s a problem. Every second counts if you want to offer your customers the best service.”
These factors were compelling in the decision-making process, Allgood continues, and tipped the scale when combined with the service of ETI’s team and the reliability of their products. “We chose ETI initially for its experience and proven solutions, and it was obvious after working together on a project of this magnitude that we not only made the right choice, but would continue to partner in the future.”
“It’s been a pleasure to work with Bolt, who are visionary and passionate pioneers of rural broadband,” agreed Frank Gine, President and COO of ETI Software. “The impact of this deployment will be felt not only in Northeast Oklahoma, but throughout the industry as a template for other underserved communities launching high-speed broadband networks.”
