Triductor’s chipset solution has been selected by Turkey’s leading telecommunications operator, Turkcell Superonline, for large-scale deployment within its customer premises equipment (CPE). The CPE adopts Triductor’s VSPM310 chipset, which not only supports standard VDSL2 features, but provides more advanced DSL functionalities such as vectoring, SRA, G.IN, and REIN. The VSPM310 chipset belongs to Triductor’s VSPM3xx series VDSL2 CPE SOC family.
Triductor has already commenced supply to the operator, and to date more than 100,000 CPEs have been deployed. Turkey is the sixteenth largest economy in the world, with a comparatively significant fixed-line penetration rate. The project is expected to provide 400,000 households in Turkey with fast internet access over the next 18 months.
Turkcell Superonline made the decision to upgrade ADSL, then the predominant broadband access technology, to VDSL2 Vectoring with a bandwidth of up to 100Mbps. VDSL2 CPE chip solution was chosen following thorough testing which included network deployment to several thousand users for field trials.
Triductor founder and CEO, Dr Yaolong Tan commented: “We are pleased that our technology will help to build Turkey’s next-generation DSL Broadband Access Network. Our partnership with Turkcell Superonline further endorses our strong technical capability and our ability to work with leading operators to deliver high performing and cost effective technologies.”
Triductor’s VDSL2 solution is one of the most cost-effective in the copper access industry. At the end of 2014, the solution passed the rigorous BT LAB and BT OR certification programmes. VSPM310’s excellent performance in rate and reach allows Turkcell Superonline’s subscribers to reach more than 50 Mbps in a crosstalk environment and 100 Mbps in a crosstalk-free vectoring scenario.
Since its inception, Triductor has been dedicated to boosting copper wire access technology and to creating unique value in the field of broadband access and smart home connectivity.
Triductor’s technologies will be demonstrated at the 2015 Broadband World Forum Latin America, in Sao Paulo, Brazil and at Broadband World Forum which will be held in London, UK in October.
