Brainstorm, a provider of multi-channel customer engagement solutions, has partnered with Callcredit Information Group, a leader in consumer data management for businesses. Their first joint project, involving the deployment of SMS campaigns to customers for a leading national retailer, is set to launch from June 2015.

As part of Callcredit’s strategy to deliver smarter business and marketing communications through the whole customer lifecycle, they were seeking a partner with a proven track record as well as a robust platform that could deliver complex customer engagement in a rich format, in real time and with an intuitive User Interface (UI). Dragon, Brainstorm’s customer engagement platform, was selected due to the breadth of features it provides, which enables Callcredit to effectively design and implement messaging campaigns to the target audiences.

With Brainstorm providing Callcredit with a platform that offers multi-channel messaging capabilities, such as email, in-app notification, voice, one of the first projects that Callcredit and Brainstorm will be working on together is to deliver SMS-based campaigns for a leading national retailer. The campaigns to be deployed include one-way and two-way SMS engagement options. The objectives of the campaigns are to drive consumers to stores and help increase online sales.

Cyril Law, Technical Solutions Director at Callcredit, said: “Increasingly we are seeing retailers wanting to target consumers via their mobile devices. Through the Brainstorm platform we are going to get actionable intelligence that not only means that we’ll be able to develop feature-rich communications but also obtain real-time results.”

He continued: “The value that the Brainstorm platform will provide not only us, but also our customers, will be unparalleled. The ability to quickly develop campaigns on the fly means that we will be able to react quickly and offer consistent campaigns across multiple channels and markets. And with Location Based Services (LBS) coming to the forefront in many sectors, including retail and finance, we’ll be able to harness that data and offer truly interactive and targeted campaigns with higher conversion rates.”

Donald Stuart, CEO of Brainstorm, commented: “As communications strategies develop to incorporate the changing ways in which consumers want to communicate with brands and retailers, we are seeing benefits not only from the ability to offer immediate communications across multiple channel and platforms, but in how that message can be delivered contextually; resulting in improved customer service, increased customer loyalty and reduced churn. By establishing rules or triggers, for customer engagement across multi-and cross-channel platforms, businesses can harness the latest marketing and big data techniques to build complex services, which can be easily integrated into their environment. This means timely communications can reach consumers based on their personal preferences.”
