ZTE Corporation, a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, has announced a partnership with South East Asia Telecom (SEATEL) to build a national frequency division duplex-long term evolution (FDD-LTE) network in Cambodia to deliver high-performance mobile broadband services to consumers and businesses across the country.

ZTE is the exclusive provider of end-to-end 4G solutions and products, including core network evolved packet core (EPC), microwave, power, Internet protocol radio access network (IPRAN), bearer and its online charging system (OCS). ZTE will also provide its industry-leading network coordination products Cloud UniCore and Cloud Radio, helping SEATEL to realise flexible networking, resources sharing, intelligent operations and maintenance (O&M) functions to build a superior and cost-efficient 4G network.

Cloud UniCore-based 4G core network EPC improves the resource utilisation ratio to 30 percent by self-adaptive resource scheduling. Additionally, the intelligent overload control helps to protect network attacks effectively.

The national LTE network infrastructure in Cambodia is a key step for the international expansion of SEATEL, which is planning on deploying LTE network in other countries. The partnership with SEATEL adds to more than 185 LTE/EPC commercial contracts that ZTE has won as of 2015 Q2. ZTE has entered into nearly 70 percent of countries that have invested in LTE networks. ZTE, with its rich global LTE-network infrastructure knowledge and experience, is committed to working with SEATEL to provide the highest-quality 4G network solutions and products.
