Libon, the all-in-one communication app developed by Orange for iOS and Android, will use Voxbone’s virtual local phone numbers to extend the global coverage of its voice services. The integration of Voxbone’s services will also allow Libon users to take advantage of the app’s unique voice features, such as customised voicemail, in more countries. By choosing Voxbone, Libon can rely on one single provider to extend its global reach, avoiding the cost and complexity associated with working with multiple local carriers.
Libon has attracted millions of users due to its unique communications capabilities including voicemail-to-text transcription, low-cost international VoIP calling, as well as the ability for subscribers to message their contacts without requiring the recipient to download Libon. The app also has a number of compelling inbound voice features, such as customised voicemail; however, until now, these features have only been available in a limited number of countries. With Voxbone, Libon can now provide its innovative services to consumers in more places around the world.
“Part of what has made Libon successful is that users benefit from our carrier roots. We can guarantee high quality of service where our competitors cannot,” said Dominic Lobo, Head of Libon. “This expectation from our customers meant we needed to select a DID supplier that could deliver the same promise. Voxbone's carrier-grade network and global coverage makes them the ideal partner for global DID numbers.”
“It is clear that Libon has combined the Telco strengths from its parent company, Orange, with a dynamic OTT offer, which has been instrumental to its success. As a result of its ease-of-use and rich feature set, Libon is emerging as a key player in the mobile space,” said Itay Rosenfeld, CEO of Voxbone. “The integration of Voxbone's services will allow them to continue on this aggressive international growth path.”
