Global Cloud Xchange (GCX) today introduced Cloud X Fusion, offering enterprise grade connectivity with direct access to Google Cloud Platform. GCX’s Cloud X Fusion ecosystem together with Google Cloud Interconnect enables users to move workloads with high network performance and security on a truly global scale.

“A successful cloud strategy is not just about choosing the right architecture and cloud provider, it’s about gaining the right access to your cloud services,” said Bill Barney, CEO of Global Cloud Xchange. “With our global infrastructure and direct connectivity in more than 90 countries, GCX provides mission-critical cloud connectivity from the developed markets of North America and Europe to the Emerging Markets Corridor, extending from the Middle East to Asia.”

With Cloud X Fusion, enterprises can use Ethernet or MPLS VPN to securely connect their on-premises network, data center or any other network resources via GCX’s private network directly to Google Cloud Interconnect. Cloud X Fusion currently provides dedicated connection into Google Cloud Interconnect at 6 major locations worldwide including Los Angeles, New York, Amsterdam, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

Cloud X Fusion is part of GCX’s Cloud X portfolio, a proprietary platform designed to seamlessly combine the speed and power of fiber optics with the agility, flexibility and cost-efficiencies of “pay-as-you-go” cloud computing; available globally and controlled by a simple-to-use user portal.
