NFON AG, a leading global provider of cloud-based telephone systems, is presenting Ntrunk, the solution for business clients who can no longer operate their telephone system with an ISDN connection. Jürgen Städing, Chief Product Officer of NFON AG says: “Ntrunk is a reliable alternative, especially in light of Deutsche Telekom's network remodelling and the accompanying abolition of ISDN in 2018.” It is now possible for those with functional telecoms infrastructure to protect their investment and continue to use their current solution. Business communications are currently undergoing the most radical changes in their history, with essential transformation processes underway to help businesses make the direct changeover to cloud-based systems.

Thanks to Ntrunk, it is possible to combine an existing telephone system with a virtual one. The advantage of this is that ISDN lines are saved and the traditional ISDN telecoms system can be retained. For example, home offices can be serviced via cloud-based telephone systems – the key being harmonised range of extensions and the utmost security in direct-dialling internal extensions. In this way, the traditional ISDN telephone system can be connected to the public phone network via SIP-Trunk, either with or without a ballast unit.

This offers the potential to make considerable cost savings, such as on access costs, actual traffic costs and general running costs, plus the opportunity to rationalise contracts with various service providers. The greatest additional benefit comes from the newly acquired flexibility, due to the ability to connect the traditional telephone system to NFON's cloud-based extensions.
Jürgen Städing says : “Ntrunk is an ingenious and simple way of integrating home or branch offices.”

Business communication worldwide is undergoing the biggest transformation in its history. A cloud-based telephone system is a future-proof investment for businesses. NFON provides unlimited performance for every requirement for businesses employing between 2 and 249,000 people. NFON is a 'Made in Germany’ cloud solution‚ and stands for data protection, reliability and TÜV-certified sound quality. It is thanks to this, as well as its more than 150 intelligent features, its simplicity, cost-effectiveness and fundamental security features, that NFON AG has become a global provider. NFON AG operates in 12 European countries and is run by CEO Martin Czermin and four other executive directors. Its headquarters are in Munich.
