RAD, which earlier this year expanded its award-winning Service Assured Access (SAA) solutions portfolio when it launched its first-to-market Distributed NFV-enabled networking devices, has announced that a number of new strategic partners have joined its D-NFV Alliance, an ecosystem of vendors and international system integrators specializing in new NFV applications.

RAD tests and certifies Alliance partners’ applications to make them available to service providers and system integrators around the globe via RAD’s D-NFV-enabled products, to enhance their service offerings. These applications also address mission-critical communications needs, with dedicated applications delivering cyber security and high network availability.

Certes Networks is a leading innovator in encryption solutions to protect networked applications. The virtual Certes Enforcement Point (vCEP) is a virtual encryption solution that secures sensitive data in motion over any public or private network. Check Point Software, the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, provides customers with uncompromised defenses against all types of cyberattacks and simplifies IT security management. Fortinet provides the FortiGate-VM Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) featuring full security functions common to traditional hardware-based FortiGate appliance. The HP OpenNFV Program provides communications service providers, network equipment providers and partners the foundation upon which to build a dynamic network environment. Kapsch CarrierCom is a market-leading global system integrator, manufacturer and supplier of end-to-end telecommunications solutions. Kapsch CarrierCom represents Anynode, a Session Border Controller that can be installed in combination with the RAD’s Next Generation Carrier Ethernet Demarcation platform delivering SIP-to-SIP adaptation at the customer’s site. VUMS Datacom provides solutions that transport data communications transparently to ensure outstanding QoE for all customer applications. VUMS Datacom represents Invea-Tech’s FlowMon application, which provides a modern and effective solution for network traffic monitoring and security.

In addition, the RAD D-NFV Alliance includes open-source applications, such as packet analyzers that allow users better visibility into their network traffic.
