Nokia raises margin target, warns of new competition in networks

Finnish vendor says its Networks business will grow faster than the 'flattish' market; announces return of its brand to consumer space.

Nokia on Friday raised the margin guidance for its Networks business for 2015 and beyond, explaining that it expects the unit to grow faster than the market as a whole. But company CEO Rajeev Suri warned that while the future could bring some let up in pricing pressure, the vendor will still face serious competition in the networks segment. Nokia Networks expects to generate operating margins of between 8% and 11% from 2015 onwards…
