Huawei has been in the cloud business for five years, having officially released its cloud strategy in 2010. Five years ago, Huawei announced its "cloud-pipe-terminal" strategy and entered the IT industry leveraging the opportunity of cloud computing. By 2011, Huawei had built an IT product line and held its first annual Huawei Cloud Congress (HCC) in Shanghai, China. Huawei was an infant in this industry, but today, five years later, Huawei is all grown up. Mr. Ren Zhipeng, President of Huawei Cloud Computing Product Line, commented that cloud computing, big data and other technological developments have presented Huawei with a valuable opportunity to enter the IT industry from the same starting point with other IT giants. According to him, "This is a once-in-thirty-year transformation." In 2012, Huawei launched the future-oriented telecoms network architecture SoftCOM, which incorporates advanced technologies, including cloud computing, network functions virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN), targeting to transform the telecoms industry in terms of network architecture, network functions, business models, and operation models. Over the past two years, Huawei has been dedicated to driving the technology innovation and commercial application of SDN and NFV, while also helping to build an open, interconnected, and innovative ecosystem to foster value aggregation in the industry. Converged Cloud In September, 2013, Huawei released its "Fusion" (convergence) strategy for the IT industry at the Huawei Cloud Congress, aimed at creating a new IT world where computing, networking and storage capacities have no restraints or boundaries.  Mr. Ren Zhipeng said at the HNC 2013, "Right now the convergence we're talking about is based on how our customers use the cloud. It’s based on an open cloud platform. Regardless of whether it’s a public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, customers can use our converged architecture for cloud environment management. They can provide services with multiple data centers or resources from multiple vendors through a single converged architecture, or integrate traditional applications and innovations into a single cloud platform to help customers better operate their clouds."  Huawei cloud computing solutions use the OpenStack-based FusionSphere operating system as their foundation to centralize infrastructure resources; adopt the FusionInsight big data platform, which helps enterprises centralize and analyze big data…
