US telcos doing the dollar dance

The revenue gap between AT&T and Verizon is shrinking, but will the real competition come from America Movil?

Verizon Communications is the second-largest telecoms operator in the world by revenues, behind domestic rival AT&T. In the recently-published Global 100 report for 2014, in which Total Telecom ranks the top telcos by turnover, we suggested that based on its recent growth rate, Verizon could challenge AT&T for the lead in future issues…and this week the pair reported quarterly results that suggest it is doing exactly that…
