A new, comprehensive report from benchmark-it (UK Enterprise Segment Communications Service Providers) finds that the shift to unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) is set to shake up the UK Enterprise market for telecoms and related IT services.
Report author Rob Pritchard observes: “The move to UC&C will set off a new wave of customer churn, giving service providers the opportunity to win, or lose, market share.”
The report also finds that a growing range of services is now being developed for the SoHo/OM/SE (Small Office/Owner-Manager Self-Employed) segment – customers that have historically been neglected.
“The formation of BT Business and on-going developments at Vodafone, EE, O2, Azzurri, Chess, Daisy, Gamma, Kcom, Timico and many others have driven renewed focus on customers’ needs across the range of communications and related IT services. The resultant turmoil offers the best opportunity to take share from the competition for a long time, but there will obviously also be losers – those without the UC&C/ICT services to offer and those whose place in the value chain is weak.”
The 1,063 page report profiles and compares 61 representative providers of fixed and mobile enterprise telecoms and related IT services in the UK.
