Zeinal Bava, we hardly knew ya. Well, we hardly knew you as Oi CEO.
Total Telecom late last year identified Bava as 'one to watch in 2014' after he was named CEO of the Brazil-based entity that was expected to emerge from the Oi/Portugal Telecom deal that was agreed in October 2013.
We certainly watched him this week, but not for the reasons we thought we would.
Oi announced Bava's resignation in a statement to the stock market late on Tuesday, raising more questions about the future of its merger with Portugal Telecom. CFO Bayard De Paoli Gontijo will serve as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is found…
