Tele2 seeks to appease regulators with Norway network deal

Telco will sell mobile infrastructure to smaller rival if Competition Authority OKs TeliaSonera takeover; deal includes lease of spectrum for next six months.

Tele2 on Wednesday announced that its Norwegian unit has brokered a deal that will see it sell network infrastructure to local rival Ice if regulatory authorities give the go-ahead to its takeover by TeliaSonera. The telco has also agreed to lease spectrum in the 900-MHz band from Ice for six months…
