AT&T is looking at opportunities in Mexico, exec admits

U.S. telco's strategy chief predicts strong growth in Mexico thanks to regulator's efforts to bring about change.

AT&T is considering expanding its business in Mexico, a company executive said on Tuesday, just hours after media reports listed the U.S. telco as one of a number to have been approached by America Movil regarding the sale of a portion of its business. John Stankey, chief strategy officer at AT&T, declined to comment specifically on the America Movil report but made no secret of the fact that his company is looking at a number of possible options in Mexico…
