UK mobile operators reject national roaming plan

Government reportedly asks telcos for ideas on improving mobile coverage in rural areas.

The U.K.'s mobile network operators have declined to support a government plan to improve coverage in rural areas by implementing national roaming. Minister for culture and the digital economy Ed Vaizey contacted mobile operators with a view to brokering an agreement on national roaming by the start of 2015…
