Toughshield, the global provider of rugged mobile devices for business, today announces that partners may now place stocking orders for its first ruggedised tablet, the T700, which will be shipping in early June.

The 7” Android tablet is perfect for partners that are selling to businesses with mobile workers that need a tablet that they can rely on. It comes packed with a powerful 1.2GHZ quad core processor designed to deal with data hungry applications and a 6000mAh Li-Ion battery that can last a full shift. Rugged and dependable, the T700 also has a large anti-scratch Gorilla® Glass touch screen and is rated IP68 / MIL-STD-810G making it ideal for tough environments.

The T700 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and comes with a programmable ‘hot key’ which can be configured for common tasks to make them quicker as well as optimising applications and services. It is also the first tablet to support both dual SIM and NFC which will enable channel partners to take advantage of previously unavailable application opportunities.

Partners can pre-order the T700 from today for shipment in early June including placing orders for test units at 50% discount on RRP with a maximum of 10 units per partner. The T700 is available exclusively from ScanSource, Toughshield’s master distributor.

Tim Beere, Global Head of Marketing Communications for Toughshield comments: “The T700 has been designed to fill a gap in the market for a feature rich rugged enterprise tablet at a competitive price point. It is ideal for a variety of market sectors including field service, regulatory inspection, construction, facilities management, hospitality and transportation.

I’m confident that the T700 will present an array of exciting new opportunities for our VAR and ISV partners to exploit.”
