The Lego effect, or telecoms market shape-shifting

New deals and growing rumours point to significant changes in the telecoms and pay TV landscape in the U.S.

At times the telecoms industry shifts its shape so quickly and so often that it's like watching an energetic eight-year-old with a brand new box of Lego: one minute there's a brightly-coloured skyscraper on the floor in front of you and the next it has been transformed into a spaceship, or a house, or a racetrack.
