O2 UK to spend £16m to improve data coverage

Operator boasts 1 million 4G subscribers as high-speed network deployment reaches 191 locations.

O2 UK plans to spend an extra £16 million to extend the reach of its data network to more than 200 unserved locations this year. The announcement forms part of a broader modernisation programme for 2014 that will see the operator upgrade around 25% of its 2G and 3G masts to deliver better call quality and data connectivity during peak times…
