Inmarsat, the leading provider of global mobile satellite communications services, and CSG International, Inc., a global provider of interactive transaction-driven solutions and services, have joined forces to support the new Inmarsat Global Xpress service.
Global Xpress is the world’s first globally available Ka-band, high-speed, broadband satellite network for mobile and fixed consumers. It is designed to enable seamless global coverage from a single operator and to support consistently higher performance (up to 50Mbps) delivered with the market-leading network reliability for which Inmarsat is known.
“Global Xpress is a game-changer," said Leo Mondale, Managing Director, Growth Management and Support at Inmarsat. “It offers airborne as well as land-based and maritime connectivity across a secure, global, high-speed broadband network. Our commercial success requires robust revenue management and billing solutions that enable us to take the complexity out of global high-speed connectivity and allow us to support the growing needs of our partners and customers.”
CSG will help deliver those robust solutions with CSG Singleview, CSG’s next-generation convergent billing platform, and CSG Intermediate, one of the most trusted offline and online network mediation platforms in the world.
“Our holistic billing and mediation solution will allow Inmarsat Global Xpress to evolve, adapt, and adjust to changing market needs while staying far ahead of the competition,” said George Fraser, vice president of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at CSG.
The CSG solution will create sophisticated models to manage wholesale channel and reseller billing partners; it will also deliver the next-generation solutions necessary to meet the complex retail billing needs of direct subscribers. Pre-paid, post-paid, and hybrid billing will be supported across all Global Xpress applications and content services.
