Europe will see wave of telco M&A this year – S&P

Ratings firm says in-market, fixed-mobile combinations will be most likely as players seek revenue, cost synergies.

European telecoms will be one of the most active industries for mergers and acquisitions in 2014, predicted Standard & Poor's on Wednesday. The ratings firm said capital markets continue to support refinancing and acquisitions through bank and bond debt, equity, and hybrid capital.
