Munich/Barcelona, 24.02.2014. Content is the new currency. It dra¬matical¬ly influences consumers’ behavior. It earns trust and builds-up brand awa¬re¬¬ness. Branded content (e.g. apps, wallpapers) is the key differentiator for mobile device manufacturers and operators.

Zertisa has realized this market potential. Dr. Martin Koerner, CEO of zertisa, today comments on zertisa’s latest product release: “We know that on one hand app publishers fight for more visibility among the more than one million Android apps. On the other hand, device manufacturers and operators look for differentiating content and additional revenues streams. To give our clients an answer to both parties’ challenges we developed a content placement solution which allows to target special customer groups and to push content to them over-the-air.”

With the new release of its content placement solution, zertisa offers a system to easily and comfortably place content (apps, widgets, ringtones, notifications as well as wallpapers) over the full device lifecycle. This process can happen independently from the hardware manufacturer by using zertisa’s web-based management portal.

New diagnostic solution to simplify after-sales support as well as an anti-theft solution

Zertisa's new diagnostic solution improves and simplifies the after sales support with its easy-to-use management platform. A diagnosis app supports the user in identifying malfunctions of his device and sends a summary report to the customer care center of the hardware manufacturer. As a result, the end-customer profits from better and faster service while the manufacturer can dramatically reduce the repair & return quota. Additionally, zertisa reacts to the suggestions from US legislation with the release of an anti-theft solution which allows to remotely make devices unusable in case of theft or if lost. Robert Konopka, CTO of zertisa, states on the rising number of stolen devices: “As published by the Los Angeles Times, stolen devices become more and more a challenge for the whole industry. While more than 1.6 million devices were lost or stolen in 2012 in the US alone, politicians have discussed appropriate measures. We are sure that the industry has to respond to this problem rapidly.”
