Tektronix Communications, the world’s leading Telecoms Intelligence Provider, today announced the post-acquisition integration of Newfield Wireless’ TrueCall geo-analytics into its end-to-end applications portfolio, delivering a world-class, next-generation mobile network optimization and customer care offering.

The integration creates the most comprehensive Radio Access and Core Networks analytics solution available from a single vendor. The unique combination of Newfield Wireless’ RAN geo-analytics with Tektronix Communications’ end-to-end assurance solutions, unlocks a variety of brand new use cases for real-time subscriber intelligence and network engineering for multiple Operator stakeholders.

TrueCall will take feeds directly from Tektronix Communications’ GeoSoft RAN probes and integrate with applications, including Iris Session Analyzer and Touchpoint’s CEM suite.

Tektronix Communications’ acquisition of Newfield Wireless announced in December 2013, is already bearing fruit, with post-acquisition professional services and product engagements for three major Tier 1 Operators secured.

Lyn Cantor, President, Tektronix Communications said: “Our acquisition of Newfield Wireless is already presenting immense value and opportunities for our Operator customers across the Radio Access and Core networks. The integration between Newfield’s RAN optimization products and professional services with our existing end-to-end solutions benefits service providers in two ways. One is the ability to assure customer experience across the entire mobile network, down to the geo-located device. The second is the offer of enhanced value-add data feeds from the TrueCall platform into our Iris Session Analyzer and Touchpoint solutions, immediately offering new and unique use cases for multiple Operator departments – from operations and planning, to customer care, commercial and marketing teams.

Commenting on new efficiencies the integration will bring to Operators, Newfield Wireless CEO Marc Bensadoun, added: “The TrueCall platform brings rich geo-analytics and visualization capabilities for the RAN, enabling MNOs to dynamically pinpoint issues and opportunities at the subscriber and network levels in real-time across 2G, 3G and 4G networks.

“RAN optimization and planning teams will achieve instant efficiencies using our new integrated solutions to improve and optimize their networks, while reducing the need for new capital investment in infrastructure and eliminating costly drive testing.”

Unmatched in RAN planning and optimization for LTE networks, TrueCall delivers a full range of capabilities to support critical decisions in engineering, operations, sales and marketing, regulatory compliance and reporting. When combined with Tektronix Communications’ broad based end-to-end portfolio of network monitoring and assurance solutions, MNOs can affordably centralize end-to-end management and visibility of their mobile network, from subscriber to data center.

Cantor concluded: “With ever-increasing network complexities such as the introduction of HetNet and Virtualization and new capacity-stretching applications such as VoLTE being launched, an Operator’s ability to monitor, assure and optimize with deep geo-analytical insight and actionable intelligence across all dimensions of their business, will be a key commercial and competitive differentiator.

“We are excited by the unique efficiencies and commercial opportunities we will be able to demonstrate to our existing and new Operator customers worldwide at this year’s Mobile World Congress and beyond.”
