Anam Technologies, a mobile messaging software solutions provider for mobile operators, has today announced that they have signed a worldwide agreement with Digicel, a leading global telecommunications provider, to deliver Enterprise SMS solutions across Digicel’s 31 networks in the Caribbean, Central America and Asia Pacific.
Digicel selected Anam following a trial deployment of Anam’s ASSURE Solution in Jamaica in 2013, which confirmed projected benefits from a collaborative approach. Both companies are now focused on building out the solution across the Digicel footprint.
The agreement is underpinned by Anam’s patented SMS technology portfolio and will ensure Digicel is positioned to take full advantage of the projected significant traffic growth in this area. Anam has engineered the ASSURE solution to allow mobile operators to manage and control their SMS traffic. ASSURE detects and measures revenue leakage associated with mobile messaging, while the core SMS Firewall provides the additional flexibility to filter unwanted SMS (Spam) traffic
Conor Clarke, International Business Director for Digicel Group, comments; “We are always looking for new and innovative ways to get the best out of our network and in turn deliver the best experience for our valued customers. Anam’s solution means we will be well positioned to take advantage of the projected traffic growth in this area.”
“This represents a strong seal of approval for both Anam’s offering to the market and the quality and relevance of our product portfolio,” said Louise O’Sullivan, CEO of Anam Technologies. “Taking a pioneering and imaginative business approach to the growing A2P SMS market, Digicel is a very exciting company to work with. This agreement serves to endorse Anam’s strategy of addressing the burgeoning Application-to-Person SMS market over the past 18 months.”
