KPN cuts jobs as revenues, earnings slide

Dutch operator 'confident' of getting regulatory approval for E-Plus sale, enabling it to resume dividend payments this year.

KPN on Tuesday announced it will cut 1,500-2,000 jobs between now and 2016 in a bid to save €300 million in operating costs. The news came alongside the Dutch incumbent's fourth quarter and full year results presentation, which showed declining revenues and profits, driven in no small part by a difficult climate in the domestic mobile market…
