What happened in Vegas did not stay in Vegas

Sin City serves up some vintage entertainment as U.S. operators lose their heads in the pursuit of each other's customers.

If this week's CES in Las Vegas is anything to go by, the U.S. mobile market is going to provide a lot of entertainment in 2014. Vegas' reputation precedes it when it comes to going off the rails, so you would think people would bear that in mind and prepare accordingly before heading to Nevada for the biggest tech show of the year. But from what we in London have observed this week, it seems that some people still go a little bit nutty when they're let loose in Sin City, and for once it was the fusty old telcos rather than the hip young gadget makers flying the flag for wilful wantonness. It's true that gadget makers – old and new - attracted their fair share of attention with various updates to screen technology or breakthroughs in wearable tech (for the record…
