Telefonica denies plan to split up TIM Brasil

Spanish operator insists it is not involved in a plan to split the assets of Telecom Italia's Brazilian mobile unit.

Telefonica on Monday dismissed suggestions that it is involved in a plan to buy TIM Brasil and split its assets among the main players in the Brazilian mobile market, itself included. The announcement comes after press reports on Friday claimed that Telefonica was ready to make an offer for TIM Brasil with a view to transferring it to an investment vehicle and breaking it apart…
