Belgacom's CEO was forced from his post this week, while BT Openreach's chief exec moved on to bigger things.

The people at the helm of some of the telecoms industry's major players dominated the headlines this week. Or rather, we were all talking about the people who used to head up certain big companies. Former Belgacom CEO Didier Bellens was unceremoniously pushed from his post last weekend when the Belgian government – still the telco's majority shareholder - decided it had had enough of his lip. Belgacom responded by handing the CEO responsibilities to finance chief Ray Stewart and chairman of the board Stefaan De Clerck…
