Transbeam, a leading national integrated communications provider, today announced the official opening of its newest data center, located on Broad Street in Philadelphia, PA.

The new data center is a Metro Ethernet facility, which gives Transbeam the ability to provide on-net Ethernet-over-Copper (EoC) and Transbeam Optical Network Service (TONS) fiber data services to customers in Eastern Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware, including the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area (also known as LATA 228). Transbeam’s Philadelphia data center will be able to deliver

Transbeam’s network capabilities including MPLS, DIA, Private Lines and Point-to-point circuits. All data circuits in the Philadelphia facility can be delivered through a network-to-network interface (NNI) to Transbeam’s wholesale customers.

“It is truly an exciting milestone for Transbeam to add a data center facility with all of our network capabilities to expand Transbeam’s network footprint,” says Peter Karoczkai, SVP, Sales and Marketing of Transbeam. “The greater Philadelphia metropolitan area is a key market on the East Coast and we believe that the addition of this facility will expand our business opportunities in this region and better serve existing Transbeam customers.”

The Philadelphia data center will offer Ethernet-over-Copper from 3 Mbps to 45 Mbps and TONS fiber services from 10 MB to 1GB and higher. In addition, Transbeam’s also offers a wide range of data, voice Internet services to serve businesses of all sizes including T1 and Bonded T1; DSL services, Hosted PBX and traditional voice, such as PRIs and SIP trunks.
