Guy Laurence's move to Canada is upstaged by Voyager 1's exit from the solar system.

I awoke this morning to the news that NASA has confirmed that the Voyager 1 spacecraft launched in 1977 has exited our solar system and has been travelling through interstellar plasma for the past year. The knowledge that the probe is now around 12 billion miles from the sun was a bit too much to take in before I'd had my morning cuppa. Despite the distance, Voyager 1 is keeping in touch; it will continue to send back data for scientists to analyse through 2020 and possibly beyond. By comparison, Vodafone UK CEO Guy Laurence's move to Canada, announced early this week, is but a trip to the corner shop. Come December, Laurence will join Rogers Communications as its new chief executive…
