EE 4G network reaches 100th town

U.K. LTE operator talks up coverage credentials ahead of Voda, O2 4G launches; Analysys Mason predicts 8m U.K. LTE users by end of 2014.

As Vodafone and O2 UK prepare to switch on their 4G LTE networks this week, EE on Wednesday took the opportunity to talk up the credentials of its own 4G network. The operator's LTE service has rolled out to 10 new locations this month, with Accrington in Lancashire becoming the 100th covered. To mark the occasion, EE brought in former Liverpool striker Ian Rush, who indirectly put Accrington on the map when his name was dropped in a famous Milk Marketing Board advert in the 1980s…
