Metaswitch Networks and Cordell Inc. continue to help service providers prevent network slowdowns caused by peak capacity issues and traffic data management overload. Metaswitch is now making Cordell's eTraffic automated traffic monitoring and reporting solution available to help its customers manage traffic efficiently and improve network performance.

Feature highlights:

• Service providers can eliminate time-consuming manual processes and automate traffic reporting that is required by regulatory agencies, such as the Public Utilities Commission (PUC).

• eTraffic allows data to be retrieved continuously, daily or periodically depending on requirements, plus administrators can set traffic thresholds that will trigger a network alarm if breached.

• Under- or over-built trunk groups can be rapidly identified, enabling service providers to monitor how traffic is being shared in their networks. This allows service providers to correct network design flaws and run their networks more efficiently.

• A new traffic-graphing package for Perimeta Session Border Controller is available, allowing administrators to collect, store, graph and report on SBC statistics.

“Thanks to Cordell, a long-standing Mosaic Technology Partner, Metaswitch customers can now efficiently monitor, report on and manage their traffic data quickly,” explains Martin Price, director of business development at Metaswitch Networks. “With eTraffic, service providers will benefit from a traffic-management solution built to handle the increasing loads that would otherwise spell problems.”
