America Movil ends deal to cap KPN shareholding

Dutch incumbent's E-Plus sale triggers clause allowing America Movil to end partnership agreement.

KPN on Monday announced that America Movil has ended a relationship agreement that could pave the way for the Mexican telco giant to grow its KPN stake beyond 30%. Established between the Dutch incumbent and America Movil in February, the deal prevented the latter from increasing its shareholding in KPN unless KPN or one of its subsidiaries agreed to a takeover offer from another company…
