SK Telecom announced the commercial launch of its LTE-Advanced network in June, offering maximum connection speeds of 150 Mbps–twice the speed of a standard LTE network–via an LTE-A version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone. Just 14 days after launch, local media reported that 150,000 customers had signed up for the operator’s new network.
