Celcite, the world’s most advanced and experienced provider of self-optimizing network / self-organizing network (SON) and automated network management solutions to mobile network operators, today announced it is expanding its Middle East presence with the opening of a new office in Dubai.

The opening of the new Dubai office, adding to Celcite’s EMEA headquarters in the UK, reflects the company’s rapid growth in the region and beyond. Celcite has doubled its revenues year-on-year for the past five years and is seeing massive demand for its self-optimizing network / self-organizing network (SON) solutions.

Some of the world's largest mobile network operators, biggest megacities and most widely watched sports and cultural events are now being optimized by Celcite SON. Celcite SON has been built on proprietary algorithms developed by Celcite which incorporate over 500,000 man hours of network management experience.

Alongside the new Dubai office opening, Celcite has recruited two senior mobile industry executives in EMEA, Chris Larmour and Ben Gardiner.

Chris Larmour, an INSEAD MBA graduate, joins the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Chris has around 25 years of mobile industry experience and was most recently VP Global Sales & Marketing at SwissQual (acquired by Rohde & Schwartz) and Chief Marketing Officer at Actix. Chris will be responsible for developing the company's brand profile and for leading its market engagement programs globally.

Ben Gardiner joins Celcite as GM and VP Sales, MEA and Asia Pacific and will be based in Dubai. Ben has over 20 years of mobile industry expertise and was formerly a Director of Mobile Broadband Solution Sales at Ericsson, managing the successful integration of Optimi into Ericsson across Middle East, Africa, India and Asia Pacific. Ben has also held senior roles at Motorola, Aircom International and Orange. Ben will be responsible for cementing the company's growth in the Middle East and developing major accounts in some of the world’s most dynamic markets.

“There is an increasing appetite in the MEA market for self-optimizing network / self-organizing network (SON) solutions from mobile network operators,” said Rahul Sharma, CEO of Celcite. “We are completely committed to our current and future customers in these regions, which is why we are investing strongly in both local offices and local talent.”

Celcite SON utilizes and improves upon a range of SON techniques that are proven to work in real network performance improvement projects. These include new and more robust Automatic Neighbor Relations (ANR), Load Balancing (LB), and Self-Healing (SH) algorithms, which have been shown to yield major improvements in KPIs. The experience embedded in Celcite’s proprietary algorithms ensure that Celcite self-optimizing network system is the most advanced and cost-effective SON solution available today.

Celcite SON utilizes a smart highly scalable data processing platform called COPS that allows enormous volumes of raw traffic data to be captured directly from the network. Combined with fast data analysis algorithms and careful command orchestration technology, Celcite can ensure that necessary changes are implemented in near-real time. Individual Celcite SON installations are designed in co-operation with customers’ radio optimization experts to meet their specific needs and expectations, and to maximize the improvement benefits they experience.

Celcite will be presenting 3G & 4G SON solutions during the Middle East Com show at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai, UAE, 23-24 September 2013, as well as hosting the world’s largest SON trade show at Le Palais de la Mediterranee in Nice, France on 1-2 October 2013.
